St. John's Group of Schools was founded when Mr. Balakrishnan T., the Founder and Chairman of St. Francis Educational Trust, envisioned a "school for all". His prime objective was to establish educational institutions that would serve society regardless of caste, creed, or color. Under his able guidance, St. John's Group of Schools grew from humble beginnings to three highly regarded educational institutes: 1. St. John's High School, Tata Power House; 2. St. John's High School (SSC), Siddharth Nagar; and 3. St. John's High School (ICSE),
Siddharth Nagar.
St. John’s High School at Tata Power House was the first one to be founded in 1989 with the motto "Each child is a new thought of God". With its foundations strongly rooted in academic excellence and character formation, this institute began to flourish in spite of its modest beginnings. Later, St. John’s High School (SSC), Siddharth Nagar, was established in 2005. Subsequently, in 2007, St. John's High School (ICSE) was established. While the SSC Board schools have been recognised by the Government of Maharashtra, the ICSE Board school is affiliated with the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations).
Although the three schools operate independently, they share common values and culture. Our approach of valuing traditions while remaining futuristic has resonated with people, and it is because of this trust and association that St. John's has grown to a family
of over 8000 students.
